Local Market Review: Rise in New Listings, Pending Sales, and Closed Sales

Housing data released by MIBOR from the BLC® Listing Service today shows (year-over-year):

  • New Listings: increased 3.4 percent in August, 1.1 percent for the quarter ending in August
  • Pending Sales: increased 2.5 percent in August, 6.2 percent for the quarter ending in August
  • Closed Sales: increased 3.7 percent in August, 3.4 percent for the quarter ending in August
  • Median Sales Price: up 6.1 percent in August to $164,275
  • Average Sales Price: up 6.7 percent to $205,108
  • For the quarter ending in August, Median Sales Price is up 6.3 percent from the same period in 2016
  • For the quarter ending in August, Average Sales Price has increased 6.3 percent from the same period in 2016
  • Months of Inventory remained unchanged at 3.2 down 20% from the prior year
